Elevation Gain: 800 meters
A beautiful hike through alpine meadows and dense forests. With a considerable elevation gain, it's a more challenging hike.
At the summit, you'll be rewarded with a unique view of over 30 peaks, including the Grossglockner, Zeller See, and more. - Experience Trail "Höhenpromenade"
Scenic high-altitude hike high above Zell am See with a great view of Lake Zell in the Salzburg Pinzgau.
The Experience Trail "Höhenpromenade" is more than just a beautiful path for the whole family. "Viscopes" – observation telescopes
that display the names of the respective peaks – enrich the tour. Along the way, you'll find wooden figures and information boards
about the diverse flora and fauna of Schmitten. The ascent to Schmittenhöhe and the descent from Sonnkogel are by cable car. - 4-Lake Art Hike
After ascending with the trassXpress to nearly 2,000 meters above sea level, this circular tour descends to the mountain station
of cityXpress at 1,325 m. Along the way, you'll encounter three reservoir lakes, impressive oversized artworks, and rest and play
areas for families. The entire tour offers a fantastic view of Lake Zell. Descend to the valley with cityXpress and continue with
Schmittenbus No. 71 back to the starting point. - Maurerkogel - Rohrertörl
An extremely scenic summit hike with cable car support from Schmittenhöhe to the 2,074 m high Maurerkogel
high above Zell am See. The route then goes in a beautiful circle over Rohrertörl back to the starting point. - Pinzgauer Stroll
What a high-altitude path! The Pinzgauer Stroll, at an elevation of approximately 1,800 to 2,000 meters, offers panoramic
views of over 30 peaks above 3,000 meters. Considered one of the most beautiful high-altitude paths in the Eastern Alps, the ascent to Schmitten is comfortable with the cable car, and after descending with the Schattbergbahn, you take the bus back to Zell am See from Saalbach.
